Cat-Tastrophe Charities has very limited space and funding. Because we are a foster-based rescue, we are not able to accept owner surrenders unless all medical and care expenses for the cat are fully covered at the time of surrender.

This policy is not a lack of compassion. It is a reality of rescue. Taking in surrendered cats without financial support would prevent us from continuing to help injured, abandoned, and medically fragile cats who have no one else.

Found Cats

If you have found a cat or kitten, please contact us before taking any action. Intake for found cats depends entirely on available foster space and current medical capacity.

We may be able to help in some situations, but we cannot guarantee intake.

Help and Referrals

Even when we cannot take a cat into rescue, we are always willing to help. We can provide guidance, referrals to shelters, rescues, or veterinary clinics, and help coordinate next steps whenever possible.
